Tarnish can diminish the look of silver and other noble metals, as well as threaten the connectivity in instruments such as circuits, switches and wiring. If you want to preserve the look and productivity of your noble metals, ARMOR Protective Packaging is on guard to serve and preserve! Silver Shield prevents tarnish and maintains the metal's true finish. This neutral pH paper absorbs hydrogen sulfide vapors, which causes corrosion and tarnishing. When compared to other options on the market, ARMOR's Silver Shield offers a distinct advantage. When fully wrapped in close proximity to metals, Silver Shield emits VCI (Volatile/Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) molecules, which creates an extra layer of superior protection-eliminating the possibility of corrosion and tarnish. Silver Shield Applications for Commercial and Consumer Uses
Commercial
- Computer Chips and accessories
- Silver-Plated Glass designed for low emissivity
Consumer
- Jewelry - Silver, Gold and other Noble Metals
- Family Heirlooms & Collectibles
Original packaging of silver materials can eventually create an environment for corrosion, as they are usually not designed for long term storage. Silver Shield is designed for extended storage and safe for direct contact situations since it will not cause discoloration or staining. Silver Shield is a non-toxic product, so there is never a cause for concern if used for protecting flatware, serving pieces or jewelry. ARMOR Protective Packaging is an industry leader in providing full line of corrosion inhibiting packaging products for a wide variety of manufacturers. With more than 25 years in the business, ARMOR Protective Packaging offers a full line of corrosion inhibiting VCI products that are clean, safe, simple to use and extremely effective. 2002/95/EC (also known as RoHS) of the European Parliament.
All ARMOR Poly polyethylene packaging films including all high density, low density, and co-extruded versions.
All ARMOR Wrap regular (designated by "R") and multipurpose inhibitor (designated by "MPI") VCI paper products.
The ARMOR Protective Packaging products listed above DO NOT contain the six materials specified in Directive 2002/95/EC at levels greater than allowed (weight percent) in Article4(1):
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs)
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)
We certify that the following banded substances lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE are not intentionally added to our products during any part of the manufacturing process. However, our products, as any others, may contain trace amounts of these banned substances coming from contamination and contact with other substances during their use. Letters of certification from our vendors that support the above statements are on record and are available upon request.

| The Defender is a co-extruded VCI poly bag that provides a cost-effective alternative to standard mono-extruded films. Designed to be both economical and tough, The Defender utilizes three layers of film with specific characteristics used to prevent corrosion, provide additional barrier protection and increase durability and puncture resistance over typical mono-extruded VCI films. Due to ARMOR's advanced technologies, customers are typically able to reduce the gauge of film by 30%. Since the VCI is positioned where you need it- on the inside of the bag- The Defender provides true cost savings coupled with outstanding corrosion inhibiting performance.

As a worldwide leader of corrosion inhibiting VCI (volatile/vapor corrosion inhibiting) products, ARMOR's Crusader is a revolutionary blending of cutting edge corrosion-inhibiting technology with advanced polyethylene film extrusion. The Crusader is a co-extruded VCI poly bag that provides premium long-term storage for the most demanding corrosion inhibiting applications.
Designed to be used as a tough, reusable bag for large bin liners, export shipments or long term storage, The Crusader utilizes the latest in co-extrusion technologies. Typical VCI bags are mono-extruded, meaning that the VCI resin is contained throughout the film, even on the outside of the bag. ARMOR utilizes proprietary high-tech resins to promote durability and superior moisture barrier properties and matches them with high performance constructions to concentrate the VCI where you need it most-on the inside of the bag. The Crusader-your armor against the elements.
