ARMOR and its Voluntary Compliance with the REACH Regulation: A Brief Overview that is as Clean, Safe and Easy as the ARMOR Product Line
The EU REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemical Substances – EC1907/2006) is a regulation of the European Union designed for the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals. The REACH Regulation requires the registration of chemicals and establishes procedures for collecting and assessing information on the properties and hazards of substances. It also maintains a list of substances that may pose a threat to human health or the environment, the REACH “Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern”.
REACH is very complicated and applies in different ways to different products. This complexity makes it challenging for manufacturers, distributors, and importers. The importer or manufacturer located in the European Union is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of REACH. Armor Protective Packaging is a company established outside the EU, and as such is not bound by the obligations of REACH, even when we export products into the European Union.
