THE ADDITION OF NEW STAFF AND A SHIFT IN RESPONSIBILITIES HELP SKS TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP

SKS Industries, the former name of Armor Protective Packaging®, ushered in the new century with a shift in responsibilities for the leadership team. In 1999, company owner John Holden hired David Yancho to lead sales efforts. With a packaging engineering background with 3M and FedEx, as well as distributor sales experience, Yancho was the perfect fit. During his start up years Yancho worked to establish a distribution network throughout the United States as well as Canada and Mexico.

In 2002, tragedy struck as Holden suffered the loss of his beloved wife and business partner Shari to cancer. During Shari’s illness, John began to reduce his role within the company and in response brought Robin McConnell on board to serve as President and Technical Director. McConnell’s background in chemistry and his MBA added further expertise to the ARMOR leadership team and the company continued to grow and strengthen.

ARMOR’s celebration of this year’s 35th anniversary is a testament to the hard work, the quality products and the quality results that ARMOR has built its reputation on. Take a look and a listen as both Holden and Yancho recount their first few years in working together in the video below.
