ARMOR’S CUSTOMER TRW SAYS IT BEST

In this column we decided to reprint the words of our customers who took the time to pass along their thoughts and experiences in dealing with ARMOR and its team. Provided below is a letter from TRW Automotive, a global supplier of automotive systems, modules and components. May 3, 2013 SUBJECT: CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL At TRW Automotive, our facilities produce ABS brake modules for the major OEMs both domestically internationally. Upon my arrival at TRW in June of 2013, the use of VCI products was already well established, but the understanding of how the VCI products functioned lacked. This included 2 lab controlled tests, one testing how our products reacted when exposed to extreme sea shipment environments and another to test the properties of the bags from the previous supplier. Based on the expert lab results, it was determined that the VCI products that TRW had been using were inadequate for the protection desired. Armor Protective Packaging came in to our facilities and took the time to understand our processes and products to determine the best VCI solution for our metallic parts shipping to Asia, Europe and South America. The solutions proposed by ARMOR resulted in not only better VCI protection, but also presented a cost savings in material. Since the transition to Armor Protective Packaging, TRW has mismanaged inventory and ARMOR stepped up to expedite material to keep from having the line down time due to lack of VCI materials.
