John Holden, CEO of Armor Protective Packaging®, suffered a serious accident while vacationing in Hawaii this past February. While body surfing in the ocean, John was taken down by a strong wave resulting in an acute spinal cord injury. The injury has affected his legs, feet, and hands as well as his diaphragm. On May 4, John was finally able to return to his home where he will continue his rehabilitation and recuperation.

Many ARMOR customers have come to know (and love) John who established the company in 1979. John recently transitioned to what he might call “semi retirement,” but continues to play an active role in the company’s strategic planning and oversight. His positive attitude and ability to see purpose in this challenge amazes and inspires us on a daily basis.
