WORKSHOP HERO™ TAKES THE TOWN OF PAXTON, IL, BY STORM FOR WORKSHOP HERO™ DAY WITH FRANK FRITZ AND SWEEPSTAKES WINNER ROBIN MCNISH

Fritz and sweepstakes winner McNish prepare to begin their “pick”

Members of the Workshop Hero™ team joined in on the planning and festivities of Workshop Hero™ Day

Frank Fritz of HISTORY’s American Pickers and spokesman for Workshop Hero™, the consumer division of ARMOR, took part in a special event on September 27, 2014, in Paxton, Illinois. Dubbed “Workshop Hero Day,” the day came together with the help of Paxton resident and business owner Robin McNish.

McNish was the winner of the “Pickin with Frank” sweepstakes sponsored by Workshop Hero™ with prizes that included Metal Rescue™ Rust Remover Bath products and an exclusive one-on-one “pick” with Fritz. McNish, owner of a local antique store, is a resident of Paxton and a devoted fan of Fritz’s television show “American Pickers.” When she found out Fritz was coming to her town she put plans in place to devote the entire day to “Workshop Hero Day” and honor Fritz. The day’s events included her exclusive pick with Fritz, as well as a vintage automobile, truck and motorcycle show, a live band, food vendors and a special presentation of a gift from the city’s mayor.

“This was truly a dream come true, not only for myself and my business but for the city of Paxton as well,” McNish said.

In addition to the pick and a visit to McNish’s store, Fritz was also on hand to answer questions, offer tips for “picking,” and to talk about the benefits of rust removal using Metal Rescue™ Rust Remover Bath. Fritz also hosted a book signing for his newly released book “How to Pick Vintage Motorcycles.”
