Rust and moisture are a metal part’s worst enemies—ARMOR SMARTY Board™ is a single solution that offers double protection against both. This dual-action rust prevention product not only blocks corrosion but also adsorbs moisture, helping to keep metal parts dry and protected.
SMARTY Board is made of 30 pt. fiberboard that is coated with ARMOR’s proprietary VCI Nanotechnology™, which releases vapor corrosion inhibitors (VCI) that form a protective shield on the surface of metal to prevent rust. ARMOR embeds VCI on BOTH sides of the board to maximize metal protection. At the same time, the fiberboard core adsorbs moisture, creating a dry, corrosion-free packaging environment for metal parts.
SMARTY Board is easy to use—when sized into 1″ by 1″ chips, simply add them to any bag of sealed metal parts or use larger-sized boards to interleave between layers in a container. Viola—metal parts are protected from corrosion and ready for long-term storage or shipment.
Made from 100% recycled materials, SMARTY Board is fully recyclable, making it the smarter choice for clean, safe, easy, and sustainable rust prevention.

SMARTY BOARD VCI Chips–Rust Prevention for Small Metal Parts
ARMOR SMARTY Board, cut into a 1”x1” chip, provides rust protection for approximately 40-60 cubic inches of space. These VCI chips protect small metal parts sealed in plastic bags or applications where pre-printed VCI bags aren’t an option, while also adsorbing moisture for added corrosion resistance.
