Meet Albert Foyt

Name: Albert Foyt

Job Title: Al joined the ARMOR team in July of 2024 as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, where he takes his role of “making ship happen” very seriously.

Where Do You Live: Holly, Michigan

Family Details:
“I share my home with five others: my wife of 19 years Andrea; our two kids, Brenndan (25) and Vivian (14); my mother-in-law, Denise; and my niece, Sam. Oh, and I can’t forget Ginger, our little chug (a chihuahua/pug mix)!”

Past Work Experience: “I have spent most of my life working in the plastics industry. My roles have included Plant Manager, Quality Control Manager and Shipping/Receiving at a plastic recycling warehouse. I’ve also worked as a Production Supervisor, Lab Technician and as an Extrusion Operator at an extrusion factory as well.”

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most? “Honestly, the camaraderie with the people I work with is something I always look forward to. I also love the work itself—I enjoy what I do here and look forward to learning more every day.”

If you could plan the “perfect day” for yourself, name three things that you would include: “A perfect day always involves my family. For me, it’s heading up north, going on drives while listening to music and talking, and ending the day at home around a bonfire, making s’mores, listening to music, and spending time together.”

Hobbies:
Al plays bass and guitar and writes music, lyrics, and poetry.  “I love to read and I’m obsessed with the video game Skyrim.”

Favorite Food: “I love chicken tikka masala (especially my wife’s), pizza and tacos!”

If you could trade places, who would you like to be for a day and why?
“Hmm… I would love to trade places with Paul McCartney (or at least pick his brain). I have a million questions about how he wrote songs, what was on his mind, who influenced him, and what the relationships were like within the band.”

What was the first concert you attended? “I saw Grand Funk Railroad with my dad in 1996, and it is still one of my favorite live shows to this day.”

What song is most likely to get you to dance? ‘Let’s Dance’ by David Bowie, ‘Take On Me’ by A-ha, and ‘September’ by Earth, Wind & Fire (to name a few).

Favorite Quote: Al has two quotes he absolutely loves:

“Immerse your soul in love” – Thom Yorke, lead singer/songwriter of Radiohead

“A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere” – Ben Gibbard, lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie
