ARMOR Partners with B’laster Corp. on the Sale of Metal Rescue & Dry Coat to Consumers

3.2.203.10.20 Company Updates, Workshop Hero, Sentinel Newsletter

Armor Protective Packaging® the maker of Metal Rescue® Rust Remover and Dry Coat™ Rust Preventative, has joined forces with the B’laster Corporation the maker of lubricants, greases and the #1 selling penetrant PB B’laster. The two have come together to transition the consumer sales of Metal Rescue and Dry Coat to the B’laster brand and its distribution channels.

Previously, ARMOR sold both product lines through its now retired consumer brand Workshop Hero™ — established in 2009.  The brand grew steadily and it landed Metal Rescue and Dry Coat on the store shelves and websites of The Home Depot, AutoZone and Canadian Tire among others.

“We recognized that B’laster has a presence in all major retail distribution channels and that can only benefit and grow the consumer sale of Metal Rescue and Dry Coat while allowing us to focus on what we at ARMOR do best – taking the work out of the workday for our industrial customers,” said David Yancho, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Armor Protective Packaging.  “It’s a unique relationship that promises to be a win-win for both companies and an even bigger win for consumers.”

The new ARMOR/B’laster partnership officially kicked off on March 2, 2020.  A new inventory of Metal Rescue Rust Remover and Dry Coat Rust Preventative labeled under the B’laster name and bottled at the Blaster facilities will be phased in to replenish stock as existing product is sold.

“This partnership came together at the same time that our lab completed its year-long work to speed up the time it takes Metal Rescue to remove rust, which means the Metal Rescue formulation is now 2X faster than the previous version!” said Yancho.

What won’t change is the brand promise that Metal Rescue and Dry Coat will both continue to be clean, safe, easy-to-use and highly effective rust removal/rust preventative products. ARMOR will continue to sell both products to its industrial customers under the ARMOR name.

To purchase Metal Rescue or Dry Coat, look for them on the ARMOR Stock & Ready® Product List.
