It is no secret that the ARMOR Shield™ CF33 Corrosion Inhibiting Emitter is designed to shield against the formation of rust and corrosion on a metal’s surface. This small 3.5 by 4.5 inch shield-shaped powerhouse, is made from compressed foam and offers a controlled emission rate that allows for even and continuous protection that can last up to 24 months depending on conditions.
The power behind the emitter is ARMOR’s special formulation of its vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI). When the emitter is utilized in an enclosed space, the ARMOR Shield™ releases ARMOR’s proprietary corrosion inhibiting VCI Nanotechnology™ vapor. This vapor attaches to the metal surface and forms an invisible, protective nanocoating only a few molecules thick and it prevents rust and corrosion.
Using the emitter is clean and simple – it is thin, flexible, easy to apply, and eliminates any messy powders, pellets or bulky cups with lids. Installation options include self-stick adhesive or hanging by cable tie. The Shield emitter is the perfect solution when other VCI packaging materials are not an option — returnable trays, containers or long-term storage applications.
