This past September, Armor Protective Packaging® hosted international partners from around the world for its 2019 Global Sales Meeting. The event was held in Howell, Michigan, home to ARMOR’s international headquarters, and participants from 12 countries were in attendance.
Among those countries represented at the 2019 meeting was Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
“We have learned over the years that hosting these type of events offers so much value,” said Fernando Longinotti, International Sales Manager. “Bringing our international partners together under one roof not only allows for important product and technical training, but more importantly it allows for networking, information sharing, and building connections that last long after the meeting is over.”
Attendees of the meeting participated in an intense, three-day agenda that included a guest presentation from a large, international customer who talked about their company’s rust prevention initiatives and how ARMOR has helped them; a discussion on the “true” cost of rust; ARMOR’s new product development process; hands-on training in the lab to explore the proper set up of a trial shipment/set up; introduction and details on ARMOR’s new SMARTY PAK and the sharing of success stories from each country.
“Talking and learning from each other is invaluable — how often do you have the experience of a sales force from 12 different countries altogether in one place?” said Longinotti. “I have said it many times before that when we have the time to sit and share our successes, pitfalls or to ask questions of our peers, it highlights the commonalities that we all share and brings strength to the entire team.”
