On Saturday, October 2nd, Armor Protective Packaging® hosted the 14th annual ARMOR Great Pumpkin Classic Car Show – a community fundraiser — and it was a record-breaking event. The show was record breaking with more than 500 onsite participating classic cars, and more importantly, in the total dollars collected for the local chapter of the Salvation Army – $20,125.00.
ARMOR joined as host and lead sponsor of the fundraising event in 2018 and it was just like two pieces of a puzzle coming together. “It just made sense to combine ARMOR’s commitment to supporting its community, including great organizations like The Salvation Army of Livingston County, with our expertise in rust prevention and rust removal products which are ideal for classic car restoration,” said Dave Yancho, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for ARMOR.
The day’s events included display, judging and awards for classic cars in 26 different categories, door prizes, a swap meet, food trucks, a fundraising 50/50 raffle and onsite participation and support from community groups and businesses from the area.

“It was so satisfying to host such a successful show this year, especially after last year’s disappointing cancellation due to COVID,” Yancho said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better day – the weather was beautiful; the participants were great; the cars were remarkable; the spectators were enthusiastic; the volunteers were inspiring and all of the proceeds to The Salvation Army will help those in our local community.”
