Meet Dan Johnson

Name: Dan Johnson

Job Title: Dan joined the ARMOR team in the summer of 2023.  His official title is Machine Operator (or what ARMOR refers to as a “Smooth Operator“) and his specific role involves operating the “guillotine,” a heavy-duty, commercial-grade paper cutter.

Where Do You Live: “I live in the capital city of Michigan–Lansing.”

Family Details: “I have two boys, Jax and Lincoln, and we’ve created an ‘imaginary’ family friend named Boris who is from Russia. Boris takes charge of the cooking, brings laughter to the kitchen with the boys, and even helps me in perfecting my Russian accent!”

Past work experience: Dan worked in metal fabrication and robotic welding for several different Mid-Michigan companies including Michigan Rod Products, CNC Benders and Robotic Welders.

What aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?  “I really like the people, the positive attitudes, and the teamwork.”

If you could plan the “perfect day” for yourself, name three things that you would include: “The perfect day for me would include coffee, good company and a glamping site.”

Hobbies: “Curating and building my Marvel Collection.”

Favorite Food: “Cake!  Okay, I am kidding of course, my favorite food is shrimp fettuccine alfredo.  But seriously, it’s cake.”

If you could trade places, who would you like to be for a day and why? “’Trade’ you say?  Tony Stark. He’s a genius, a billionaire, a playboy, a philanthropist but I mainly just want access to his armory while letting him experience my lifestyle.”

What was the first concert you attended? “I have never been interested in concerts, but I was on a setup crew for a band for several years if that counts?!”

What song is most likely to get you to dance? “Anything to which Carlton Banks would dance” (from the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).
