We Are Open: Defense and Energy Industrial Base Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce

ARMOR full product line

Dear Valued ARMOR Customers and Supply Partners,

Today, March 23, 2020, the Governor of Michigan announced a “Stay at Home” Executive Order No. 2020-21 requiring the temporary requirement to suspend all activities not deemed necessary to sustain or protect life. While Armor Protective Packaging is deemed a critical infrastructure company, and will remain open, we want to assure you we are doing everything we can to take all precautions to keep our employees and their families safe during these extraordinary times.

ARMOR supplies various industrial companies with critical products including the Defense, Energy and Transportation sectors. We have received communication from Defense contractors and the Department of Defense asking that we maintain the ability to supply needed product. On March 16, 2020 the President of the United States issued updated Coronavirus Guidance for America. This guidance states that: ”If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security…… you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”

Because many other industrial sectors are shutdown, ARMOR is maintaining a skeleton crew to process and ship orders. Nearly all of our office personnel are working remotely to limit the number of people we have in our facility. Two weeks ago we instituted Best Practices as communicated by the CDC regarding cleaning and disinfecting guidelines as it pertains to COVID19. We are doing everything we can to assure a safe working environment.

As the situation changes rapidly, we will contact you should we anticipate any changes to your orders or delivery. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your ARMOR representative or call 1-800-365-1117 or email us at info@armorvci.com.

Thank you for your support and please stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.
