Recently, it struck me just how easy it is to get ‘caught up’ in the latest-and-greatest fixations of the moment and overlook the tried-and-true cornerstones that have been the backbone of our success. At ARMOR, we are constantly looking ahead, anticipating new solutions to corrosion management issues and forecasting what the future will require of us to meet the changing needs and demands of our customers. In the process, I fear that we sometimes overlook some of the really great “old standbys” that have consistently proven their value.
One prime example is the ARMOR Stock & Ready™ program that launched in February 2018. Developed on the principles of customer ease and convenience, as perfected by industry giants like Amazon Prime® and Little Caesars® HOT-N-READY®, Stock & Ready quickly became an essential ordering option for both distributors and end-users. Offering three times the in-stock inventory, no order minimums, quick turnaround, and fast shipping, this ARMOR program continues to grow and set new standards for simple, efficient ordering in the rust-prevention industry. If you haven’t looked at our product stock list, you really should – it is comprised of our most frequently ordered rust prevention products.
ARMOR’s ASK JERRY™ is another example of an invaluable tool that does not get the attention it deserves. ASK JERRY is an online rust diagnosis and resolution generator that is available 24/7 on the ARMOR website at no cost. By completing the ASK JERRY questionnaire, users quickly receive a custom report identifying the cause of their rust issue, along with practical recommendations to solve it and prevent its return. ASK JERRY made its debut in April of 2021, and while its innovativeness can make it difficult to describe, its results speak for themselves.
While these mentions may seem like self-promotion, my true intention is to point out that something doesn’t have to be ‘new’ in order to be impactful or great. ARMOR is consistently working on new ways to combat rust, yet our proprietary ARMOR VCI (vapor corrosion inhibitor) Nanotechnology™ remains the foundational building block behind most of our product innovations. It’s an “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach because ARMOR VCI has stood the test of time as a clean, safe, easy and highly-effective method for preventing rust.
Let me end by saying that in 2024, ARMOR is set to debut several new rust-prevention products. We’re not resting on our laurels, and as we step into the future, we carry the ongoing value of our existing products and programs – the trusty “old standbys” – that have brought us this far.
